Digital tachograph STC-8255, ASELSAN
Aselsan A.Ş. is a Turkish defense corporation headquartered in Ankara, Türkiye.
Combined with a motion (speed) sensor and the necessary tachograph cards, the STC-8255 meets all the requirements of the latest EU directive (1266/2009).
The STC-8255 can also be connected to an analog and digital speedometer or instrument panel.
Data recording
The STC-8255 records driver and co-driver driving, operating, ready and break/rest time, speed and distance traveled, and other vehicle-related workflows and events. Vehicle-related data is stored in the built-in memory, and driving and rest times are additionally stored on driver cards.
The capacity of the system memory is enough to record all actions for more than 365 days. Driver cards contain approximately 28 days of driver activity.
Access rights/data protection
Special tachograph cards are used in STC-8255 to comply with data protection and security requirements. Fleet operators can protect their data from unauthorized access using a company card. Law enforcement officers need a control card to access the system.
Authorized workshops can activate the STC-8255 calibration function using a workshop card.
