How the e-TOLL system works

The system works on the principle of location transfer.

This requires a device that sends location data (GPS position) using the Internet (SIM card).

What are the advantages of using devices from SVITAHO that are connected to the on-board system of the vehicle?

When using our device, it is permanently connected to the on-board system of the vehicle. The driver does not need to have an application and remember to activate it when using toll roads, the device works constantly.

Who is obliged to use the e-TOLL and SENT-GEO systems?

A user of a vehicle or road train with a maximum authorized weight of more than 3.5 tons, as well as a bus user regardless of the maximum authorized weight. Such vehicles may include passenger cars towing a trailer, if the total permissible mass of such a combination exceeds 3.5 tons.

How is payment made in the e-TOLL system?

Payment is made based on location data from the device. Users must register their company and vehicles at https://etoll.gov.pl.

What data is sent to the e-TOLL and SENT-GEO systems and is it secure?

The data is processed on the basis and within the limits of Polish legislation, only to the extent necessary for the collection of road tolls. The controller of data, including personal data processed in the e-TOLL system, is the head of the National Tax Service.
